On Friday, November 6th, we will welcome owner & winemaker Piero Lanza from Fattoria Poggerino in Radda in Chianti to the restaurant for a takeover! The historic Poggerino property was once a part of the estate of Prince Ginori Conti, a member of one of Florence's oldest families. When the winery was passed down to Piero's mother Floriana in the 1970s, she began producing Chianti Classico under the Poggerino label. Piero and his sister Benedetta have been managing the estate since 1988, and their attention to detail in every aspect of work in the vineyard is unmatched. Piero is dedicated to organic and biodynamic farming that truly reflect the unique terroir of Poggerino. We will feature of number of his wines by the glass and by the bottle, and Piero will be swinging by tables to chat with guests who order any of his wines. This is a fun, casual event for the entire restaurant. All you have to do is make a regular dining reservation for Friday, November 6th. We hope to see you there!
