We are thrilled to welcome the owner of Luigi Ferrando winery and legendary wine importer Neal Rosenthal for an inaugural visit to the restaurant. Ferrando was the first winery Neal ever represented as a wine importer almost 50 years ago. His partnership with the Ferrando family is a deeply meaningful venture, so much so that he purchased the winery in 2024 to ensure its ongoing legacy. We visited the winery in Carema a few weeks ago on our annual staff trip, and we are still gushing over the truly memorable afternoon we spent tasting wine in the vineyard. Carema is a tiny appellation on the northernmost edge of Piedmont, tucked into the alpine foothills at the mouth of the Aosta Valley. There are only 12 producers in the entire region, and Ferrando is the most iconic of them. The steeply terraced vineyards demand heroic viticulture, resulting in elegant, vibrant 'mountain wines' that pair incredibly well with food. At the dinner, we will explore multiple vintages of their uniquely alpine expressions of Nebbiolo, as well as sparkling and still examples of their local Erbaluce grape. These wines are simply stunning, and we can't wait to share them with you. We hope you'll join us for a memorable evening of food, wine, and conversation!
